World Teachers’ Day

appleOctober 5 is World Teachers’ Day. It is a day to pay homage to all teachers and the central role they play in guiding children, youths & adults through the life-long learning process.

The role of a teacher in the life of her/his students and the people of the community she/he lives in as well, is both significant and valuable. It has far-reaching influence on the society shr/he lives in and no other personality can have an influence more profound than that of a teacher. Students are deeply affected by the teachers’ love and affection, their character, their competence, and their moral commitment. Good teachers become models for their students.

Good teachers lead their students anywhere. During their early education, the students tend to determine their aims in life and their future plans, in consultation with their teachers. Hence, good and visionary teachers play a prominent role in forming the future of their students.

When we speak of good teachers it means that teachers must be models of faith and piety and should have a fairly good knowledge . They consider it their duty to educate and train their students and feel responsible for it. They know, feel and undesrtand that the students have been entrusted to them and therefore, must have avoided any breach of the trust the society has reposed in them.

This year, World Teachers’ Day will focus on the role of teachers within the context of the global financial and economic crisis and the need to invest in teachers now as a means to secure post-crisis regeneration. It is the teaching force with its knowledge, experience and foresight that can bring new insights to global solutions.

Join us in thanking all the wonderful teachers around the world who are making a difference each and every day!

To all teachers worldwide:

We will always be thankful to you for all the hard work and efforts you have put in, for educating us. You are not only our teacher. Rather, you are friend, philosopher and guide, all molded into one person. We will always be grateful to you for your support. You are greatly appreciated!
