In Catholic churches, the Feast of the Transfiguration is observed on August 6th and is considered a major feast, numbered among the twelve Great Feasts. It celebrates the revelation of Christ’s divine glory on Mount Tabor in Galilee (Matthew 17:1-6; Mark 9:1-8; Luke 9:28-36).

The Transfiguration, EL Salvador del Mundo, to the Cavintinians, is their Patron Saint. Hence, this is fiesta time in Cavinti, Laguna , Philippines and in other parts of the globe where Cavintinians reside.
