It is a story of true love. Roland Castillo immigrated to St. John’s, Newfoundland to follow his sweetheart, Tessie Mejilla. They are destined to spend their lives together and raise a family. They were blessed with two children – Rolly Boy and Tess.

Last April 20th, everyone was there, Roland’s whole family – his wife Tessie, his son Rolly Boy who surprised his father by coming from Newfoundland just for the party, his daughter Tess, his son-in-law Norm Lalonde and his grandchildren Alexandre (6 yrs), Stefan (4yrs) and Lauren (1yr.)

His friends and kababayans were there too; the Palawagan group of the Greater Toronto area, the members of CLOTA and the Cavinti diaspora. The party was held at East Side Mario’s in Mississauga, Ontario.  Norm Lalonde, Roland’s son-in-law welcomed the well-wishers; while son Rolly Boy did the closing thanks.

It was a day of celebration - lots of food, wine and beer and most of all a great time spent with family and friends!
