Philippine Pastries, A Hit in Rome Exhibit

.
A Filipino businesswoman, Jonima Prado Acevedo, was intensely happy after visitors to the recently-concluded photo exhibit in Rome, Italy rushed to her table to taste her cakes and pastries.  The fact that foreigners liked her products  gave her so much happiness.

Acevedo displayed her cakes and pastries on the evening of the exhibit at the Museo di Roma for the visitors to sample.

A woman who sampled a hopia inquired where she can buy it.

“Masayang-masaya ako!  At least, nagustuhan nila  yung mga sariling produkto natin. Talagang hindi ako makapaniwala na maging yung hopiang baboy pinagkaguluhan nila. Tapos yung puto natin, cheese mamon at ensaymada nasiyahan din sila,”  said the  owner of Bebot’s Cakes and Pastries.

Make Noise, a cultural organization in Rome, launched the project in order to convey particularly to foreigners that their country is open  to hard-working individuals.

The Philippines and China were the only Asian countries permitted to join the exhibit.

Acevedo has been living in Rome for 12 years now. She is happy that her product became an instant hit with the foreigners.
