On Christmas Day

Christmas is where the heart is. It brings us love and goodwill, peace and joy and promises of better things to come. Never has the essence of Christmas been more felt in the wake of the economic crisis prevailing in the world today. It is in this spirit and in recognition of the true meaning of Christmas that I share with you this simple wish: Let us open our hearts and reach out to those who are less fortunate and in need of our assistance. Let us give them love on Christmas day & every day throughout the year. Let us not be like the innkeeper who shut his door against the Virgin Mary and St. Joseph. In so doing, we will enjoy the blessings now and in the years to come.

Let us look at 2009 as a year of challenges and face them with courage and conviction. Begin the New Year with a fixed purpose and an ascertained solution. Yet, let us not forget the past events and experiences for these are the very foundations that will encourage us, give us hope and bring about success in the future.

My family and I wish you all a joyous Christmas and a New Year filled with happiness, good health and prosperity.
