Nilo R. Flores of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada turned 75 on February, 20, 2008. The birthday, falling on a Wednesday which was a working day, his son, Neil, gave a party in his honor on March 8, 2008.

The birthday bash was held at The Italian Restaurant in Mississauga. Friends and acquaintances from the Cavinti community in the Greater Toronto Area attended the affair. His co-members in the Gerimyuhan of the Cavintians graced the occasion as well. The party lasted for several hours, feasting on the food served and singing Happy Birthday to the celebrant. Some other musical numbers were presented.
Nilo felt happy and contented having reached the age of 75. He said that it was a gift from God, attaining a milestone in his life.
Nilo R. Flores was a former teacher at the Cavinti Elementary School before he migrated to Canada. He was married to the late Lourdes C. Villanueva.
