Mejilla’s 50th Wedding Anniversary
It’s a great honor to be chosen as “”EMCEE” of this event that I am so delighted to serve , Carling and Miner, being fellow CLOTANS themselves. I got the pleasure of meeting mga kababayan whom I haven’t met before. I wish to conggratulate also their beauteous daughter Jane Linay who singlehandedly prepared the entire wedding process beautifully anad well organized. What else shoullllld I say? The venue was spacious, food was good, though I didn’t taste the entire service so it helped me loose a pound (joke), servers were cordial and respectful music induced everyone to dance and non-stop relating local news among Cavintinians.
I met a lot of CLOTANS like Walter and Lilian Umale Thompson, Dante and Morpha Ansay de Leon, Jim and Miner Gahite Mesina, Roland and Tess Mejilla Castillo and Nilo Flores, all from Canada and Celso and Maureen Villanueva Ramos from Californis. We took chance for photo-OP.
Such a celebration to remember! MABUHAY !
Reporting from NY, GELINE
Fifty years of marriage or golden wedding anniversary has been a long time Filipino tradition to celebrate by a couple. Marriage are made in heaven. Trust is the start of it, joy is part of itand love is the heart of it that made them together. The compatibility of s a couple depends on open communication, understanding and compassion. CLOTA is so happy to wish our fellow CLOTA members, Carling and Miner Mejilla on the celebration of their marriage. They were able to survivee 50 years together in trials, pain and happiness.
The marriage renewal is set on July 17, 2009 at the St.Matthew Parish Toronto, Ontario, to be officiated by Fr. Mark Gatto. The said event will be attended by more than 300 guests and families, some will be coming various states in the U.S. and most especially from the Philippines like James and Sofing Melilla. I’m one of the attendees to witness ther vows this Friday.
From our hearts, we wish the couple congratulations and more years together as one.
