Meanings of Cavinti Tagalog Words

coconut-treeBelow are the meanings of the Cavinti Tagalog vocabulary given yesterday: 

algahumat – mga bagay o mga kagamitan na wala nang saysay at dapat ay itapon na { useless household stuff or junks  which must be thrown away)

balisbisan – banmbang sa palibot ng bahay na patuluan ng tubig galing sa bubong kung umulan na papunta sa pulasi upang hindi bumaha sa buong paligid (a shallow canal around the house for drainage when it rains)

batalan – isang parte sa likod ng bahay na labahan, lalagyan ng tubig at kung minsan ay paliguan at kakabit na rin dito ang kasilyas; ito ay kakabit ng bahay (a part in the rear of the house for washing and storge of water)

kalaangan – mga lupang ari-arian kagaya ng mga niyugan o palayan (landholdings or real estate property such as ricefields or coconut farms)

isirong – itulak nang may puersa o lakas ang nagtutulak ( to push roughly or shove with force)

buto’t balat -payat na payat (very thin or very slim)

kaututang dila – kadaldalan; katsismisan  (two or mor persons who always engage in idle talk)

makitid ang isip – walang maraming nalalaman; mahinang umunawa (dull, slow in understanding)

mahabang dulang – kasalan (wedding)

pantay ang mga paa – patay na  (dead)
