Joyful Despite Our Economic Problems
Overheard in a clssroom by Fr. B. R. San Luis
A religion teacher once asked her class: “Where can you find God?”
One pupil stood up and replied, “In church.” Another one volunteered: “At home, in school, in the parks.” “Correct,” the teacher said approvingly.
One serious child also offered his answer: “Ma’am, we can find God in our comfort room.” The response caught the teacher by surprise.
“Why do you say God can be found in your comfort room?” she asked having regained her composure. (Because in the morning at home when Papa is hurrying and the door of our toilet is closed, he bangs the door shouting: “My God, my God, are you still in there?”). So God is in our toilet.
Here’s another one from U.S.A.
It was the day after Christmas in San Francisco. The pastor of the church was looking over the cradle when he noticed that the Baby Jesus was missing among the figures. Immediately he turned and went outside and saw a little boy with a red wagon, and in the wagon was the figure of the little infant Jesus.
So he walked up to the boy and said, “Well, where did you get Him, my fine friend?”
The little boy replied, “I got him from the church.”
“And why did you get him?”
“Well, about a week ago I prayed to the little Lord Jesus and told him that if he will bring me a red wagon for Christmas, I will take him for a ride around the block in it.”
