Helen Fe (nee Belleza) was named Teacher of the Year by the Santa Ana Unified School District for her tireless work and exemplary dedication to students in Orange County, California.
A teacher in the Regional Occupational Program, Helen Fe received a Certificate of Congressional Recognition and a crystal trophy for her Teacher of the Year award.
A mother of two beautiful college girls, Helen Fe was accompanied by her husband Joey when she accepted the award at a gala ceremony at the Santa Ana Unified School District last May 7, 2011.
The quintessential Cavinti diaspora, Helen came here to the U.S. when she was 8 years old. Raised in Los Angeles by her parents Lilly and Mamerto Belleza (deceased), Helen grew up bi-lingual as she remained fluent in Tagalog while also becoming a native English speaker.
A nursing graduate, Helen chose teaching as a vocation, demonstrating her sincere desire to shape young minds.
Congratulations Helen for a great achievement!
