It took a lot of planning but the children of Mrs. Floring Villamin pulled it off with aplomb. They held a surprise birthday party for their mother on Saturday July 31st wherein all 8 of them were present.
Floring Villamin has 8 children and they live all over the world. Four of them live in Dallas, Texas, one in Atlanta, Georgia, one in Las Vegas, Nevada, one in Los Angeles, California, and one in Sydney, Australia.
For the special occasion of their mother’s 85th birthday, they made sure that all of them will be in Dallas that week to celebrate two birthday parties for Mrs. Floring Villamin.
One was a small affair… just the family having dinner on her birthday, July 27th. Mrs. Floring Villamin thought that it was her “real” party. She was so happy that all her 8 children were there to celebrate it with her.
She did not have any inkling that there was going to be a surprise, where her friends and kababayans all the way back from Cavinti was coming.
Everyone arrived before 3:00 PM July 31st at the Villamin residence in East Dallas. Mrs. Floring Villamin was out “shopping” with her two girls who planned it that way. Even parking was planned; guests made it appear that they were visiting the neighbors, not the Villamins.
So, when Mrs. Floring Villamin arrived home, she did not see anything out of the ordinary. It was only when she opened the door and everyone said “SURPRISE!!!” that she realized what was going on.
Smiling and crying at the same time, Mrs. Floring Villamin were greeted by friends and kababayans Happy Birthday.
