It has always been said and believed that February is the month of love. But you will agree with me when I say that every other month also is. Love just winds like a stream, overflowing once in a while like rice fields in a storm; ebbing and flowing like the tides, with an occasional storm striking the shores with emotional waves. People have open hearts, susceptible more than most to the extremes of pain and joy brought by love.
Today, February 14th is Valentine’s Day. This is just a peak on the romantic mountain, always in view from wherever you are and from every angle; only to be made less visible by cloud when someone’s eyes are drenched with the pain and/or agony of a missed or lost love.
On this day Valentine’s messages, wishes and cards are normally sent. Friends would send Valentine’s messages to each other, to wish them a wonderful Valentine’s Day. Heart graphics, short poems and Valentine prose pass between cellphones by the millions. The intensity of romantic messages grow by the hour.
Most of the messages are not of love but about love, and about enjoying the most romantic day of the year. Children would wish their mother or father a Happy Valentine’s, and their siblings, and schoolfriends. Mixed in with all such messages are the core love messages, where romantic love is the desire and the inspiration.
