Evangeline Lazaro Graced the CNHS 4th Commencement Exercises

Cavinti National High School, formerly Lumot National High School-Extension, held its 4th Commencement Exercises with its theme: Education: Changing Lives (Edukasyon ang Solusyon) last March 30, 2010 at the Cavinti Town Plaza.
Ms. Evangeline Ruazol Lazaro, retired teacher and presently the Cavinti Laguna Overseas Teachers Association (CLOTA) president served as the guest speaker of the said occasion. At present, she is working as a writer/staffer of a local magazine in California, USA.

During her talk, she emphasized the value of education for the Filipino families. That through education, she was able to enjoy the life full of blessings and companionship not only in the Philippines but also abroad.
“Ang kahirapan ay hindi hadlang upang umangat sa buhay” she quoted. She revealed also how her family strived hard so that her brothers and sisters will get proper education.
Ms. Lazaro served the youth as a public school teacher for almost 3 decades. She had shared the many values to make life more meaningful. Again, education is the most significant tool to acquire it-thus she believed.

With her talk, the Cavinti NHS graduates had been inspired to go on their journey.

She was given an opportunity to work abroad, find new
menials to improve life, adopt new culture and strengthen her personality. She had found out that being educated is the best weapon a person should have to face the world of challenges.

Not only Ms. Lazaro inspired them but also the presence of the highly respected person in the DepED-Division of Laguna. Cavinti National High School graduates are lucky enough to have Dr. Ester C. Lozada, Schools Division
Superintendent as she confirmed the completion of the requirements of this batch.

This year’s graduates comprise of 122 senior students – 62 males and 60 females. Mr. Ric D. Fernandez is the Adviser of the IV-Shakespeare and Mr. Purificacion A. Principe for the IV-Allan Poe. Daisy M. Mesina and Jessa O. Abello are the class valedictorian and class salutatorian respectively.

Ms. Norma I. Tablico, School Principal gave plaque of appreciation in gratitude to Hon. Florcelie L. Esguerra, one of the sponsors for the operation and improvement of the Cavinti NHS.

The teaching staff of Cavinti NHS are proud to say that they had reached an occasion for celebrating three important achievements: Completion of study program marked by sustained discipline, hard work, imagination and endurance of changes for the betterment of the youth of Cavinti, aided the attainment of a certain desired knowledge, attitudes, skills and capabilities of values as individuals, for their parents and for the community; and culminated the sacrifices, contributions, and efforts of our
parents, teachers, school officials, local leaders and schoolmates.
