Consuelo Grifal Mesina: June 7, 1915 – March 23, 2010

Consuelo Grifal Mesina, a nonagenarian, succombed to old age at 4:00 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday, March 23, 20l0 in Emerson, New Jersey, U.S.A. She was married to the late Eustaquio V. Mesina. Her late husband was among the early immigrants from Cavinti to the United States having migrated to the aforementioned country in 1930. He returned to Cavinti to seek a life partner. Hence, Eustaquio and Consuelo have been married a few years before the outbreak of World War II in 1941 in the Pacific.

The couple had six children: Jose and Elisa who live in Montreal, Quebec, Canada; Erlinda in New Jersey; Emma, Fernando and Eleanor in San Diego, West Hill and Pleasanton respectively, all in California.

Consuelo has had a mobility problem so that she used a walker. But she was in good health except during the last few months and enjoyed all the blessings that God has given her and for which she was very thankful. How delighted she was for being able to attend the Benuto-Felifa Mesina Family Reunion on February 14, 2009 in Cavinti.

It is very lamentable to mention that at the moment, two of her children, Dr. Emma Mesina Matel and Mr. Fernando Mesina are in Cavinti for the MEDICAL-DENTAL MISSION on April 3, 2010.

The readers are requested to say a prayer for the repose of her soul.
