Cavintinians Hold Christmas Party in Hayward CA

hayward05 Is it December yet? Yes, it is and the wind has become colder. And akin to the cold weather is the celebration of Christmas.

Christmas is one great holiday everybody watches out for. Since mid-December, parties are everywhere. There are parties in school, company parties, office parties, socio-civic organization parties, neighborhood association parties and many other kinds of group parties.

And the Cavintinians in northern California did hold a Christmas party, too. The affair was held in Hayward on Saturday, December 19, 2009.

The couples Des and Milky and Chie and Romel, both Lubuguin, as well as Ramil Ramos, on their own accord, called on their fellow Cavintinians in the area to mark December 19th on their calendar for a Christmas party. How happy the organizers were; many town mates responded to their call.

The Christmas party turned out a grand affair. There was good food, mostly Filipino dishes. Chie and Romel provided a “lechon” for the group. There were wine and soda aplenty.

Merry-making was at its best. A raffle was held. Maureen Ramos played Santa Claus to the kids by giving each of them some money.

Christmas is always worth celebrating, especially if we can understand the real meaning of its message: caring, sharing and love.
