Celestino Linay April 6, 1914 – February 16, 2010

Celestino Linay, SR., 95 years old, succumbed to death due to old age early Tuesaday morning, February 16, 2010 at Mississauga, Ontario in Canada.

He is survived by Sote (Sotera Valente), his wife; Gil, Lindo and Jing (Celestino Jr.) his sons; his sons – and daughters-inlaw; his several grandchildren and relatives.

Born on April 6, 1914 and raised in Cavinti, Laguna, Philippines, he was a permanent resident of the community until the family immigrated to Canada.

In his early years, Tinong to family and friends, he was an employee of the municipal government of Cavinti.

Tinong had a passion for music and was the coordinator of the Cavinti Orchestra that was composed of several music-minded individuals from the community. He was a long time member of this orchestra that furnished the town with music during all occasions there is a need for some.
