It was 1983 when the Cavinti town fiesta in Southern California was first celebrated under the leadership of a social committee. Twenty-five years had passed since then. The festivities, which were originally a social gathering, had become a tradition. It is no longer just seeing our kababayans. It has become a way of life.

The 2008 Cavinti Town Fiesta will be held during the weekend of Aug 9 and 10, 2008. The annual dinner/dance will be on Saturday, August 9 from 6:00 PM to 12:00 MN at Almansor Court in Alhambra, California, while the annual picnic will be on Sunday, August 10 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the location to be announced later.

In behalf of the Cavintinians of Southern California, Dina Juanillo Divinagracia – De Jesus, the 2008 Organizing Committee Chair is extending the invitation to everyone to attend the event. This year’s contributions are $45.00 for adults and $35.00 for children from 6 – 12 years old.
