Ranked 8th place on the National Achievement Test Result out of 75 Public High Schools in Laguna, Cavinti National High School achieved a 10% increase in the test results, to wit: 46.26% in Filipino, 31% in Math , 53.61% in English, 59.73% in Science, 57.05% in Hekasi and 49.53% total percentage during March 11, 2009 examination.
This is a great leap for Cavinti NHS students and teachers. Behind this achievement is the effort exerted by the school principal, Ms. Norma I. Tablico, as she continuously monitored and supervised the learning delivery of the teachers to the students.
Possible instructional improvement had been created by the teachers through attending trainings, guiding intensive learning procedures and providing hands-on learning experiences
Teachers’ need for the instructional materials had been provided including the E- Education via internet, multi media equipments and teaching hours had been organized to be able to cater effective teaching delivery.
During vacant periods, students engage on line researches and readings. School Clubs also conduct activities that promote learnings
Ms. Tablico inculcates the intensive learning design as one of her priorities in managing Cavinti NHS so as to assure that the school will achieve higher MPS achievement this school year.
As per records on file, the following data on the MPS of CNHS are revealed:
SY 2004-05 – 36.32 %
SY 2005-06 – 35.67%
SY 2006-07 – 39.92%
CNHS is beating the 75% MPS target which is the DepED target, too.
Donacel Socorro, Weavers Guild Staffer of Cavinti NHS will represent Laguna for the newswriting English on the forthcoming Regional Schools Press Conference in December. She won 6th place in Newswriting English Division Level out of 54 public and private schools’
