Cavinti Fiesta Celebration in Southern California: Getting Ready
WEST COVINA, Aug 9, 2009 / — Saturday morning, Aug 8th, at Furman Park in Downey, California, Cavintinians and members of the organizing committee arrived early to have the place ready for the Cavinti Fiesta celebration in Southern California.
A yearly gathering for the past 20 years for the Cavinti community here, the event has never failed to draw a big crowd. And though this year will be remembered in history as the Great Recession, it did not stop the Cavintinians of Southern California from celebrating the Feast of the Transfiguration.
