Day 2 Saturday, July 31 – Picnic: The clear sky and ideal summer temperatures once again made Meadowvale Conservation Park in Mississauga the perfect play ground for young and not so young alike, and for meeting Kababayans and friends.

Expressions of the day are “Ya, hamo ka na” (translation: oh my gosh is that you!), “sa hindi pa” (translation: but of course), and “Yae” (oh gee, really?). This Cavinti colloquialism is music to the ears especially to those who have been away from home for a long, long time.

From the park, the picnickers retreated to the residence of Boy Bien Villanueva, for another lavish treats courtesy of the incoming 2011 Chairwoman, Jenny Villanueva-Cruz.
