Brunei Cavintinian Adds Words To Our Vocabulary List

Bruneiamain -   tiyo   (brother of your mother or father; uncle)

amama – lolo   (grandfather – the father of your mother or father)

apuyan – posporo      (match – a slender piece of wood/cardboard tipped with a chemical substance that produces fire when rubbed against a chemically prepared surface)

biribi -   nagmamadali   (in a hurry)

dangan – dahil sa  (because of)

igahin – isama, idagdag   (to increase the nmber or quantity)

inain -   tiya (sister of your mother or father; aunt)

inana – lola  (grandmother;  the mother of your mother or father)

itsa -    ihagis  (throw)

iwi -    alaga, ampon   (taking care of an animal for someone who is the real owner)

kaka -  kuya  or ate    (the oldest child of a couple, whether a boy or a girl)

kalpi – pitaka    (wallet or purse)

udong – anak o kapatid na lalaki
