Baltazar F. Mesina, a long tine resident of Cavinti, Laguna, succumbed to lymphoma on Tuesday, September 29, 200. He was 73 years old.

Born on January 6, 1936 to the late spouses Mauricio and Valentina Mesina (nee Flores), of Cavinti, Laguna, Tazal to family and friends, was a geodetic engineer by profession. He spent all his prime years surveying lands and obtaining land titles for their owners.

Tazal was married to Yolly Gruezo of Majayjay, Laguna and a department head at the Pedro Guevarra Memorial National High school. The couple was blessed with three children, Baldwin, a physician, Erwin, a geodetic engineer and Estela, an instructor at the Union College in Santa Cruz.

Tazal joined his Creator peacefully. His wife and all his children were by his side, as well as his brothers and sisters. The eldest brother came from Manila, another from Cavinti, two brothers from Canada, two sisters from Canada and the youngest brother from a luxury liner.

Tazal is survived by his wife Yolly, his sons Baldwin and Erwin, his daughter Estela, his brothers Bidong, Fidel, Mauro, Jimmy and Junior and his sisters Santa and Zeny, his daughters-in-law, his sisters-in-law, his brother-in-law, his grandchildren and his nieces and nephews.

He was laid to rest at the Santa Cruz Municipal Cemetery.
