A Renewal of Marriage Vows
Celebrating a golden wedding anniversary by a couple, signifying fifty years of their marriage, is a long time Filipino tradition. A marriage is made in heaven. Trust is the start of it; joy is a part, and love is the heart of it that made them together.The compatibility of a couple depends on open communication, understanding and compassion.
CLOTA (Cavinti Laguna Overseas Teachers Association) is happy to extend our sincerst greetings to our fellow CLOTANS, Carling and Miner Mejilla, on the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of their marriage. They were able to survive fifty years together in trials, pain and happiness,
The marriage renewal is set on Friday, July 17, 2009 at St. Matthew Catholic Parish in Toronto, Canada to be officiated by Fr. Mark Gatto. The said event will be attended by more than 300 guests and families, who some of them will come from the United States and various provinces of Canada. Mr. & Mrs. James Mejilla, (nee Sofing Ansay), will come from the Philippines. I will be one of the attendees to witness their vows this Friday.
