The Dallas Arboretum showcases a beauty of nature. It comprises seventy acres more or less of peaceful woods and beautifully trimmed lawns, hedges and flowers that make the place a favorable venue for a day of peaceful rest and leisure.
As our party set foot on the Dallas Arboretum, we were amazed at the beauty of the Dallas Blooms in their yellow, red, orange, crimson, pink, blue and several other colors within our sight.
Many people associate flowers with the April showers and the May sunshine, but as per information from the garden caretakers, there are more than 80,000 spring/summer-blooming annuals that keep the Arboretum in bloom the year round. Moreover, at the start of each season, the gardeners add the plant-bearing flowers (perennials) for that specific time of the year.
There are several gardens in the compound, one of which is called “A Woman’s Garden.” This garden features a reflecting pool with a view overlooking the White Rock Lake. Then there is the lush Jonson Color garden planted with more than 2000 varieties of azaleas and the Lay Ornamental Garden decorated with perennials, bronze wild life and a dramatic water feature.
Every thing, tree and/or plant in sight is a thing of beauty.
