A Glimpse of Christmas in the Philippines in Songs

Christmas songs are an integral part of the Christmas celebration in the Philippines. A very prevalent Filipino Christmas tradition is carolling where the children and adults alike go from house to house singing Christmas carols.

These carolers expect some form of gifts from the owners of the houses they serenade. But they are very polite and respectful despite the fact that they might have been disturbing the people. They thank the owners of the house by singing “thank you, thank you and a merry Christmas to you.”

These popular Filipino Christmas carols and pictures depict the real scenes of Filipino Christmas. I hope you will enjoy listening and reminescing the Chrtstmases you spent in Cavinti or somewhere else in the Pilippines.
