Pamitin: Another Disappearing Tradition In Cavinti

Filipina Student Wins International Sudoku Contest

Sarah Jane Cua, a sophomore student at the Pangasinan Universal Institute bested 150 players in an international sudoku competition in Singapore, July 11-13, 2008.
In an interview with GMA News, Sarah said she surpassed her competitors not only with her mathemetical competence, but also with her speed.

Mamerto S. Belleza June 27, 1926 - July 13, 2008

Mamerto S. Belleza, 82 years old and married to Lilly (nee Conde) Belleza, of West Covina, CA joined his Creator on Sunday, July 13, 2008  at the Citrus Valley Medical Center-Intercommunity Campus.
 His body lies in estate at the Chapel of Forest Lawn. Funeral plans will be announced later.
 He is survived by his wife Lilly; son Sonny;  daughters [...]
